Great external, shuck it for a WD140EDGZ.

Great drive with tons of space. It does require the use of a power cable (included) along with the USB cable. It's more of stationary drive than a grab and go type of drive. I shucked it (removed the internal drive) and I got a white label WD drive - WD140EDGZ. The drive is transferring at the 7200RPM range.

    Lots of Storage!

Lots of storage! Works perfectly. I would recommend formatting to EXT4 file system (much faster and easier on the hard drive)...although, that only works natively on Linux Operating Systems. However, you can download and install a program providing Windows with the ability to read EXT4 file systems. NTFS will beat up your hard drive (it’s a HUGE part of the reason why Windows slows down over time...either way, Windows is worthless)

A 14TB hard drive, commonly available in 3.5 or 2.5-inch form factors, offers extensive storage for diverse needs. Ideal for professionals and enthusiasts, it provides ample space for large media collections, backups, and server applications

I work in professional film and video and have had hard drives fail on me (more than once). And many will say that all drives fail at some time. And I believe that. I've had more Seagates fail on me early. I've bought probably over 30 of these WD externals and have yet to have one fail. So I'll keep buying these to backup and archive my footage.

If you just want to use this as-is, it should be very easy to set up. If you intend to take the internal drive out of this for use inside a computer (shucking) then you should be aware that many computers won't support this without some hardware modification (google "WD white label pin fix)

Same as WD RED 14TB drives inside, only white label. But same pcb and firmware inside. Just know these run very hot inside the plastic enclosure they come in. about 15 to 20c hotter. But I use four of these inside a Synology DS920+ and they run much cooler in the NAS. avg 34-36c vs 56-58c inside the WD OEM plastic enclosures. It seems those plastic enclosures are not well ventilated or are poor at dissipating heat which will shorten the lifespan.
