This HDD has certainly done the trick, and hopefully lasts him awhile before running out of space (again). Great price for the size and purpose.

Good value for large storage needs

I do prefer Seagate/WD products for storage but lately I am buying more SD cards and Flash Drives as their storage capacity increases. I would buy this product again if I need a large amount of storage again. Thank you!

Good reasonable priced mass storage solution.

Western Digital are typically the only drives I purchase. Drives inside are typically non-tler versions of HGST/WD white label red drives. YMMV however. They also need the 3.3v sata power unconnected to work. 100-150 MB's or so throughput.

Great backup drives

I have several of these that i use to back up my plex media to. I tend to fill these up completely from the get go, so i usually pull the cover off and set a usb 120mm fan over the controller board to cool it and the drive. Its easy to remove, just look up shuck easystore on youtube.

A Good Pickup

My only concern is when you can sometimes hear the hard drive operating within. This doesn't happen that often, but I have noticed it at times. Other than that, it's a good pickup.
