Bought this back when it was $190, and I'm glad I did. Paying $13.50 per TB is an amazing value and it has been in use almost every day with no big issues. Only complaint is that the enclosure feels a little hot sometimes after prolonged use.

Shucked six of these to use in NAS storage, excellent budget option for large arrays

I bought 8 of these over the past few weeks. Shucked them and put them in my Synology 1812+ replacing the 4TB RED drives in a Raid-6 array. Replaced one drive at a time. Took 30 hours per drive to rebuild the array then another 30 hours at the end to expand the volume. Well worth the time and effort. These drives are absolutely silent in this NAS and I have no complaints.

My 2TB computer only had 300GBs left so I bought the 14TB external hard drive and transferred all my photography to the external hard drive. My computer runs a lot faster now and I have a new home for all my photography!

Very good product for me. I have a lot of older music that I have collected over the years and this hard drive gives me the ability to save it in one spot. Lots of capacity which is important as my digital music is captured at the highest possible bit rates.

This is the first external HDD that I've bought that can maintain 180-190 MBs transfer rate over usb 3.0, My first use is to backup a 4TB HDD on my desktop using imaging software; after that I'll use it to backup a 4TB NAS. Copious space for the money.

its a big harddrive. i use it for a media server. works pretty swell for now. needed a big hard drive; its a big hard drive. not sure what else to say.

Lol 14TB's, this thing is going to last a while. You can take the case out of the hard drive and use it in a NAS set up as well. I am using it in my desktop computer to archive and store photos from my iPhone. Going to last a while since it's 14TB's....

I only buy WD ext drives and no exception here. Good deal on this large capacity plug and play for my archival footage l.

I ordered it online and delivered in 3 days. Installed right away, running about 20 days without any problem. I'm using it to consolidate my other 8 TB drives. Average transfer rate - 168 MB Small footprint, quiet, and Huge capacity. Highly recommended!!

Great external hard drive with massive storage of 14TB, I already had 3TB WD Mycloud I plugged it to it as USB backup and I can access all info online on both devices use it as back up as well very convenient i wasnt sure if it was going to work but it did it made the money both storage combined is 17TB since do photography i can use it as back for client pictures. I hope it last. WD is a great brand I have the other old mycloud and I have it for 7 years no issues so far, hope this one will last too. Great price, I regret not buying it for black Friday for $199.00 but I got it for $217.00 was still a great price better then amazon or other stores. Speed is good if you plug it with computer but not the best, very happy so far.

Purchased 10 of these units to use in my NAS. It has been a little over a year now and all is well. Yes, the drive was removed and my warranty is now void and I don't care because in today's world. Nothing last forever!

Bought for my son to enable him to store games on his gaming system. I bought a 5TB one about 5 years ago that is just now filling up, so i figure i wont have to buy another one for at least a dozen years or so now

I needed a drive to back up my files on my NAS. This unit works great with plenty of storage. It will not connect to some OSs such as FreeNAS (FreeBSD) but for the general user, I'm sure it's a perfect fit on spec, value and performance.

Good drive seems reliable. Was very easy to set up and start using.

I use to buy 4tb drives and then when I started doing video work they would fill up quickly. This drive has helped me solve the issue of having so many extra drives.

Got it on sale, but even then having something with this much space helps a lot since I record a lot of videos
