I use these to back up all my CDs and DVDs, and have had quite a success creating my library and getting closer to getting rid of all my discs.

Not the fastest external hard drive mind you, but if you need to store a lot of stuff. (Ahem, for research and reference purposes...). I would not recommend if data from this drive must be constantly accessed (e.g. installing games on the drive).

This hard drive is truly excellent. It is a high capacity and very fast. I am very pleased and it is a great addition to my computer system. The large capacity allows my to store massive amounts of data. 14 TB is a very large amount of data.

Got this on a daily deal and am thrilled to have so much storage for (relatively) so little cost. I have 2 of these, one I shucked and put into my PC (also very easy to do) & the other I use for external backup.

A+ It's great while in use, but - from my experience- if disconnected for any length of time it becomes a paperweight for some reason.

We prefer WD hard drive over other brands because WD drives have never failed on us. This one has massive capacity. It is used for the media storage and serves the purpose very well.

This 14TB capacity is currently the best value ($ per TB) when on sale. The drive I received was a WD140EDGZ that CrystalDiskInfo reports as 7200RPM. I am currently using it shucked inside an HTPC.

Works great for backing up many photos or videos at a reasonable price. Easy to use and feels well constructed

Having enough storage is really nice to make sure you have the space to keep precious files or even run a small home server. Drives are shuckable if you don't mind voiding the warranty.

Great for what I needed it for! Needed a stand alone atorage solution for old media and it works great!

Just about the biggest drive you can get right now and with Covid the prices aren't really coming down but got this on a deal of the day. Still spendy but works well & I can retire some of my smaller drives with copying them onto this one.

Awesome value, picked this up on sale. If you are planning to shuck this drive, be aware that the middle screw taps on the sides are not available on this model that you would find on a typical internal drive. This may affect your installation.

No complaints! This EasyStore 14tb is quick, quiet and runs cooler than expected. The size is sufficient for years of personal backup (redundancy). I will definitely add more units for media.

Pretty much plug-and-play, so very simple to use. The included protection technology (to block viruses and malware) is optional, but if you choose to use it, there is a monthly fee after the first trial month.

Excellent speed and reliability. I use these drives for backups and store a spare copy of my data at my office. 3 copies of your data in 2 locations is the key to a good backup.

Good bang for the buck. I've always had good experience with WD easystore drives and this one is functioning as expected.

This was the first drive I attempted to shuck and turn into a large internal drive. It worked easily and without any additional hassle some people have noted these requiring. A good drive at a great price.
