WD easydstore 14TB external drive

Silent while on standby.

WD drives have never really given me any problems. They are the only external drives I trust for backups or lesser used storage like photo/video archives.

Lotta data for cheap

It runs a nightly backup routine I have set up using cron and rsync with a Synology NAS. The only thing that would make it better is if it spun at 7200rpm instead of 5400rpm.

When formatted as NTFS, you get around 12.7TB usable space. It should last a while.

Other than a few issues with that whole process, this drive works fast enough for what it does; storing large amounts of data.

Good for Chia XCH plots

They do require external power. I only buy them when the price drops.
