Not sure about the transfer speed for anything else but backups. I Have not had it long so we will see how long it continues to run.

Great Performance and Ease of Installation

After looking at a lot of reviews and price points, I decided on this device. It works as advertised. Access is fast. It comes with simple installation software and takes only a couple of minutes to install. Needs USB 3.0 port for maximum performance. No picture, the device looks exactly as advertised. Comes with USB 3.0 cable and external power supply that runs on house current.
