In addition, I needed assistance to expand usb connections. I came in with a list of items to help me have the necessary back up to retain a large amount of photo and document files. I have family photos and documents that now require 12 terabytes of storage. With the help of the sales person and support from the Geek Squad I feel comfortable that I have what I need to protect my data.

Slow spinner

When left connected to the laptop is slows down the system. It's like Windows will not do anything until it can fully read the drive. Good for longer term storage.

Great HD

Definitely watch youtube video on how to MOUNT onto your computer. Almost made the mistake of not mounting and could of lost alot of files. Im using as an external HD for saving files off my PC. When loading large heavy files it does make a "winding" noise. but nothing loud and obnoxious.
