Honestly, I can't provide an adequate review of the External Hard Drive because I haven't used it. However, I'm pleased and relieved that BB Geek Squad backed up my data to the External Drive. The service provided by the Geek Squad agent was kind and friendly while being professional, thorough, and expert.

This was my first time ordering something from best buy. I never recieved my order when i contacted customer service about not recieving it i was advised thag i would be refunded for the item and they apologized for the inconvenience. Fast forward about a week i never recieved my refund so i contact support again. I was then advised that it would take about 14 business days for my refund to be processed. So i wait another week. Today i contact them once again about not getting my refund and only then was i advised that my refund had apparently been denied by one of their departments and i would have to make a police report in order to recieve my refund (which i was never advised of prior. I was told i was already going to recieve the refund) i call my local police station and ask to makw a non emergent report for a stolen package. And the lady advised me that they are not making any reports on stolen packages because its a non emergent situation that needs to be handled by the seller or shipper of the items. I then again contact customer service again and tell them what i was told by my local police and they just tell me the same thing over again, to contact the police and file a report. How am i to do thag when the police are not required to make reports about stolen packages. The customer service agent then disconnected the chat and would not communicate wirh me any further on the matter. Im highly upset and disappointed in this. I would have expected better customer service from a big brand like best buy and especially with this being my first purchase. Its honnestly enraging. Best buy isnt cheap and i spent $60 for something i never got and they refuse to give me a refund

I have replaced Thai drive multiple times do to my laptops, gaming consoles, smart tvs not reading the WD External drive

Chromebook has not recognized the hard drive. I have tried all of the troubleshooting tasks that are published, three times. I am now having to go back to Best Buy to get help from Geek Squad support.

I bought a new HP computer because I was told by the salesman that it was easy to transfer data from my Apple desktop computer. With one thing and another, I unknowingly waited beyond the small-print return period when I found that less than 10% of my data could be transferred. Best Buy refused, despite a written appeal to the store manager, to allow return of the brand new, in the original box, computer. I will never again buy anything from Best Buy.

Unlike my other external hard drives this required a very convoluted setup. I won't buy this beand again.
