I had to get this product in order to transfer the data from my old laptop to the new one. Geek squad did the job for me with no problem. Now I have a tool to safely keep a copy of my files. Thank you very much!

Western Digital is always my go to for backup storage. Whether for my Apple or Windows clients, it is a solid choice and I will continue to refer them to this device.

Seems easy enough----however, I did need to visit with Geek squad to fully understand how the best way to use the product in backing up my laptop. Thanks again to Tyler Weibel at the Geneva, IL store for his excellent advice.

It's well-known that SSD drives are much faster than HDD drives, but the cost of SSDs has been holding me back - until now! Planning on replacing all my old laptop HDDs with new SSD drives!

Excellent option for baking up files. Used during an emergency situation and had no problem recovering files.

I needed a low cost drive for backing up media and documents and this USB drive works well for that use. With luck, the next generation will be a USB-C drive.

This USB Hard Drive was very to set up, works very well will take care of my Hard Drive backup needs.

I have had Easystore for a short time. Really don't know how I like it yet, However recomendations from Best Buy staff have never failed to pkease before, so I expect I will be pleased with this purchase also.

I have no clue really. My laptop got that crazy blue screen so the geek squad had me get the external drive to keep what they could.

This purchase was great! But the one before (the week before) I was sold the wrong iPad and can’t do anything about it. Need help , please

The Western Digital easystore lives up to that name. Very simple plug and play on my Windows computers. It is also light, making it very portable. It's lighter than a phone and feels more like a thumb drive. The size makes it fit great in your pocket, but I'd be leery of sitting on it. Western Digital says this drive is durable but really that's only from the perspective that this is a solid state drive vs hard disk drive. This should withstand a lot more bumps and not lose your data. However, from an external durability stand point this feels really cheap. The case seems like it will crack with any kind of substantial drop or if you sit on it in your pocket. Everything about this screams portable, and I really like that about it, but you still need to be careful with it. As for performance it gets the job done for the most part. It is fast but with large data transfers I noticed after awhile it would drop to half speed. The software that comes with it seems pretty useless. I had a really hard time getting it to finish installing on my computer and when it finally went through it had some odd error messages. After that the interface was clunky and didn't provide much value. The easystore was fast enough for me to access data from, not just use as storage and backup. I was really surprised how hot it got though. I was copying a couple hundred GB over and with it just sitting out on the desk the temperature was more than something you'd want to put in you pocket later. Because of this I'd be concerned about accessing a lot of data from here real time. My use case was to have extra storage for photos and videos that I'm editing. It also helped with transferring this work between different computers. I don't intend on taking this on the go, just around the house. With that, this drive serves my needs so I'm pretty happy with it. I would like to be able to edit videos directly from it so it saves a step of copying them back on the drive. I might investigate the heat issue some more because the speed supports doing that. I would recommend this to anyone with a similar use case. For on the go, I think that it's great being so light but would caution to handle with care. I'd say to try to find a case for it but I'd be worried that would exacerbate the heating problem.

Overall great product! Used it for my MAC before it decided to crash on me, luckily enough I had everything backed up on this!

Simple set-up. Using it with PS4 but says it should work with others, too. Has been fine for the first month of use.
