Great external HDD

Great External Backup for years of photos

With some fairly simple formatting it has performed as I imagined! I have saved over 25,000 photos and 1500 videos on this external hard drive and store it separate from my iMac in case of a catastrophic failure of my Mac. It is comforting to know I have a second backup to my Time Machine WD Passport backup. These photos cannot be replaced and for a very cost effective price they can be preserved for years to come.

The WD Easystore portable had drive is easy to use

They are reliable, easy to link to my computers and have very low failure rates. The easystore is exactly what its name implies. It was easy to format for my Mac laptop and reasonably quick in backing up my hard drive. It was also hard to beat the low price for 1 TB of storage.

Age-old storage dwarfed

Only needed 1 TB of storage since all else is accounted for. I remember my first external HD was all of 10 MB and cost 4x what this little guy costs. That was a year or so after the IBM XT came out. What amazing tech advances ...and they never seem to stop.
