This portable hard drive was on special and I took advantage. Couldn't be easier to use--just plug it in and you're good to go. Very convenient size and no need for separate power supply since it works off the USB.

trusty. i bought this to boot my mac and save my files externally in case i lose them when i update the OS, and to replace my 6 flash drives and store my school files every semester. it does take a bit to install and maneuver but when you already have your files organized it is pretty good. the way i do it with my mac you have to set up time machine and then choose how often you want a backup. i choose whenever i actually plug it in because i only have 2 usb ports and need both at all times. overall this is a very handy thing to have and i do recommend it to anyone who has a lot of files, and those who prefer having everything "physically" rather than in a cloud

Hasn’t died on me yet and it’s been a year. I’ve read stories of it dying after a couple months of use but utility wise it does what it’s supposed to. 3tb is way more then enough for me.
