This HD was purchased to back up a similar sized external HD. It is compact and serves my purposes well. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this hard drive to store a backup image of a hard drive. it has very neat tools integrated although I didn't use them this time I have use them before and they are very effective to create general backups. The drive responded very well considering is not a SSD the transfer rate was decent.

I bought this drive to hookup with my Tablo DVR, and it works great. I almost purchased the 2tb drive, but this one will hold hundreds of TV shows. Plug & play!

This replaced an older WD set up was simple moving files and backup is easily set. would probably get a 2T next time just for storing movies and such but this more than suits my needs

USB 3 drive. Fast- no set up needed. Only drawback- WD pre-installed software. Prefer if drive was just blank.

I bought this Ext. HD for backing up all my data. This is plenty of space for myself and the software that comes with the hard drive makes it super easy to set up it up for automatic backup.

Its a good device so far it has held all my architecture files inside. Best buy employee told me i could load games and software onto itmy i will try. Bought it keep certain files on the goe while i work on diffrent computers

Does what it says, perfect for backing up , easy set up ,no problem with windows 10 it will see the device and your ready to go awesome I have a couple of them and they are handy to have.

On a recent cross country trip in our travel trailer, the laptop started acting up and in fact black screened 4 times. I had backup up before leaving using larger thumb drives for pics, documents and music, but that was a pain and slow. I set the PC aside and when I got home, bought the remote drive and turned it over to my Tech expert. He indicated it worked perfectly, was very fast and all was saved in one operations, inc the OS. Now have a new laptop and thanks to the complete backup, all was saved including emails and preferences. This is a great drive and will serve to continue support the laptop.

I bought this for my wife for college. It's great to have 1tb of storage in such a small package and not require an external power supply to run it.
