I have used this model for years, and have been very happy with its longevity and dependability. The only reason I replaced my existing drive is to play it safe. Always best to replace hard drives about every 5 years.

I needed a basic one terabyte back up unit and saw good reviews for the Western Digital. Bought it at Best Buy for a good price and am very happy with it--easy to install, operates with no problems, and quick access to stored data.

This external hard drive is awesome it's easy to use and have lots a space. It also downloads a program when you first add it to your computer so you can add recovery, and more.

Easy to use and setup, not bad for the price point

I purchased this hard drive to attach to a DVR. It has a good amount of storage, yet it's small and unobtrusive. It does it's job.

I needed a smaller updated external drive, and this works like a charm. Easy to use and it doesn't take up a lot of space like my last one!

Do not really know what to say, bought this to have content from old computer downloaded onto it. I have not tried to check downloaded content yet. Best Buy employee assured me this product was fine.

I bought this when it looked like the hard drive on my aging computer was starting to fail. It was a simple plug-and-go installation and all my files we copied over im minutes.

Couldn't pass the "Deal of the Day" up and the price that was offered. Ample hard drive space, easy setup, and known name makes the purchase a no-brainer. Have used it to back up a couple of things but going to plug it into my router to have "cloud" storage that can be accessed via the internet.

Got this to back up my photos and data from my laptop. It was a good price and works as it should. It's been easy to use and I have not had any problems with it.

Very easy to set up I just basically put it in and the computer did the rest. I backed up all my files on my PC with lots of room still left on the drive.
