Excellent hard drive and easy to use on Mac and Windows.

Geek squad at the store were very helpful when it became apparent we needed a new hard drive and made sure we didn't lose any personal information by putting it on sn external hard drive for us

Western Digital makes very good hard drives and this model is very easy to use and portable

I learned a very painful lesson earlier this year. I had a super reliable Macbook Pro which I had for years and which I had not had any problems. I really intended to back it up and kept telling myself to get a backup hard drive, especially since they are relatively inexpensive and have a high ROI when it comes to your data. One weekend, through many tears, I spent many hours looking at tons of pix and watching videos of my dog who had recently died. I was so happy to be fortunate to have taken lots of pictures of him and taken videos that were uploaded to my Mac. That weekend I told myself to make sure to go and purchase a portable HD to backup everything sometime during the week. Lo and behold, Monday morning I turned on my laptop and Google Chrome was frozen and would not close or force quit. After rebooting the laptop, a blue screen of death signaling some HD malfunction had occurred. Long story, I learned a doubly painful lesson that you need to have a real backup plan in place. Don't lose your data nor precious memories stored on your computer as I did. Purchase an external HD like this WD and have the peace of mind knowing you are covered in the event your device dies. The cost of the HD is nothing compared to the cost of not doing it.

I got this as an alternative to a flash drive (a sandisk that got way too hot after little use.) I'm using this to code with unity and its working great so far.

I had purchased a lenovo ideapad. It only had 2 the of memory. And a best buy representative recommend this WD-easystore for my lenovo. It works great.

Worked great to back up my MacBook Pro! Had to format it to work for Macs, but that only takes a couple minutes - just look up “Format external drive for Macbook” and you should find simple instructions)

Love it so much, although it was hard for me to use it at first I used it to play sims

I got this external ssd for my ps4, and it was well worth it, I had one but I returned it, I am a clown for that but overall, if you need extra space for your system/pc, get it, well worth the money
