Wow, this external hard drive has so much storage it saved everything I had plus a lot more room.

I originally purchased this to use with my Macbook Pro. I loved it so much that when my Mom got a new Macbook Pro for her birthday I got this for her too. We both love it! It is so small, much different than the external drives I am used to from the past. I still have an old one connected to an older computer that is at least 3 times the size of this one and it needs to be plugged into an outlet. This one doesn't need to be plugged into an outlet. It transfers files very fast. It is formatted to work with a Windows computer out of the box. However setting it up to work with a Mac is very easy using the following steps: ● Plug My Passport into your Mac with the provided USB cable ● Open Disk Utility ● Select this hard drive on the left side list of drives ● In the center area click on Erase ● Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) ● Type what you want to name the drive ● Click Erase. I recommend this drive if you've got a Macbook or a Windows computer and are looking for an external drive that's easy to take along with you, although it's just as good if sitting on a desk. Either way, I love this external drive!!

the speed to transfer files was fast and easy. I had over 20 gigs of pictures and videos and they transferred faster than I thought. Its a good product for a good price.

It’s an external hard drive that you can store all your files on. Simple to plug in and use anywhere. I had to buy it bc I was told my computer couldn’t be fixed so my files were all transferred onto this portable drive.

The best part of using Best Buy is your Staff especially your associate ... I believe his name is Tan He went out of his way to help us with our purchase.... very patient, knowledgeable , extremely helpful, and pleasant to work with, ( I never met him before, he is not related in any way, and while we waited for our turn He was waiting on two old ladies and helped them and saw him refuse a Cash gift (a tip) telling them he enjoyed helping them out!!!! On a scale of 1-10 I would give him a 25!!!

Good size portable drive. Easy to use and attach to my Samsung Pad. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an outside backup for Pads, laptop or desktop.

The external hard drive was needed for backup of everything from photos, documents, emails, etc. Best Buy found the exact model that was perfect for my Apple desktop. I feel great that I don't have to worry about losing anything on my computer.

Storing significant data and memories with this hard drive is the way to go. Simple plug in and also good setup to keep digital memories preserved.

I backed up my computer and still have plenty of room on it. I have a MacBook Air and it was quite simple to plug in and back up my computer.

Very nice! Easy to keep backing up data and easy to retrieve. Worth the money

This is one of the worst user experiences I’ve had in a really long time. There are no instructions in the package. The mini tour explains virtually nothing. Then I get an error that a drive needed to read and edit files was needed but my computer wasn’t supported. You had to click on it to find out you needed to go to a website. I wasn’t given any real context of what that meant but went to the website and downloaded. Then I couldn’t figure out how to backup. There’s supposed to be an app for that, mentioned no where but the product manual you manually have to go to get on the site. I Googled the app, only to discover the app is no longer supported and there’s another app. It’s been an hour of downloading and restarting and searching when other devices had me up and going within ten minutes. I haven’t gotten to the backing up experience because the process of getting started has been so frustrating. It’s clearly been patch worked together over changes without real cohesive updates to integrate the experience. Ans now I’ve got three different software with three different massive guides to manage and understand. Purchased this to try out this family of products before I invest in a larger and more stationary system. Not inclined to buy from this company

I love the expanding memory of this unit. It is shows great quality. The speed is a very quick with this unit and I’m looking forward to continue to use it for a long time.

Very good product overall for the price. Instructions are pretty much garbage and I can see how it’d be a little difficult for someone with 0 computer knowledge to first set up but works perfectly for a great price.

Cheaper than purchasing the amount of storage for a dang laptop...and that's counting the Holidays too. I'm glad I have found a deal with this one, but they left me dry for my laptop that I had met with several Employees, and including a manager or two, also within a two week span...only to learn they can not give me the computer that I was inside the store...and it amazingly sells out and cannot be found in any distribution warehouse center either? Raincheck would have been a beautiful gesture if I was offering to pay in full for the laptop right there and then...oh well... Happy Holidays everyone and stay safe

I like the idea of having my computer's content next to me as well as in the cloud.

So far fast and reliable, I always have more than one to have backups of my files.

This product arrived on time no problems. Easy to setup. The case was small and attractive easy to carry along if traveling and need large files of access to storage files. Very pleased and the sale price was fantastic.
