I have the original ps4 with 500gb. Games nowadays take up tons of space so i found myself having to delete old games. I needed an upgrade so i went with this. Its pretty cheap, and the 1TB is what I felt I needed. It is USB 3.0 compatible so it works perfectly fine with a Ps4.

It was a nightmare! You have to going into Safe Start Up to install soft ware to run it!! I DO NOT recommend!!

There are a lot of options in today's market for expanding storage space. WD has always been good to me so I stick with what works. And it's small enough that I can easily keep it near me like a wallet and don't always have to have it plugged in.

This is a great product. It works with my HP computer and with my Apple computer with no problems. I love the speed for uploading. If you are looking for a good-fast external hard drive, this is for you!!!

I bought a portable hard drive but have not used it yet.

There were no instructions as to how to backup my data. I asked a younger friend and he explained what to do. It works well

I purchased this item to use as a storage/backup device for a gaming system. I was hesitant to purchase this brand due to a recent Data loss on a 2Tb WD easystore. I thought I'd give it one more try. Needless to say, I was DEVASTATED to lose access to the drive. I'm sure I don't have to tell you I lost half my lifes data on that drive.. tax returns... irreplaceable Family photos and videos of loved ones who've past on..you name it. I'm sick to my stomach just talking about it. I tried to reach out to to WD.. they just refer you to names of data restoration companies on their website to reach out to. I've visited a few... The one with the most guarantee wanted $1000 per TB to possibly recover some, not all of the data. Then I did my own research online and found downloadable software that promised at least 75-90% of your data back for about $125. I could afford that. I was able to obtain I would say between 75-80% back. Something is better than nothing and definitely well worth the money I spent to regain conciousness, and my data back! But I will say this, my old WD drive started malfunctioning at 3/4 full. I purchased a 4tb WD drive at half full with the intent on transferring the data to the newer device and retire the old. Well.. at 3/4 full it started not being recognizable on the one and only laptop I've ever used it on. Then folders started showing up empty! Plus other little.. not normal.. nuances that were happening that I just dismissed without giving it too much thought. I should have stopped using it at 1/2 full and cut my my losses with the rest of the space to avoid data loss. I definitely learned from THIS mistake. Consider yourself warned...

I was in the process of switching computers and I chose to go the route of transferring files from one to the other via an external hard drive. I chose this unit because of past reviews and the price point. It has exceeded my expectations and I continue to use it for backup and other storage purposes.

Stores a lot but gets hot and makes sound. Unable to charge Mac and use this at the same time so what’s the point.

I buy lots of WD products and thru Best buy, quick and accurate shipping.

I just plugged this terabyte into my computer and let the computer updates and backups run automatically.

This was on a bottom shelf and the least expensive but the sales rep saved me money on last years model!!
