Product Worked as expected. I plugged it in and it worked fine.

Does the job, not as fast as the SSD drives, but cheaper.

The only issue was that I had to reformat it so it would work with my Mac. Super easy, just annoying.

It won't open my pictures with the programs I have on my computer. I have to figure that part out yet.

I use this to expand the memory on my PS4.........

Good capacity in a small size, great value for a window user. The drive do come with a driver for You to read the files in Mac, but you have to download it in windows pc and use another use drive to install it in your Mac. Or you can purchase a 3rd party NTFS app In order to read and write files with Mac.

This item was suggested as I had no clue what it would take to get the photos and doc' from my computer.

I was just looking for an easy external hard drive that you simply plug in your computer, transfer files, save and viola! This is definitely not the case. You have to download all this WD software and the somehow have it back up your computer. I still haven't figured out how to get the WD software to back all my files. I'll get back to you when I do.

Disk drive does exactly what it should. I'll wait 2 or 3 years and let you know if it lasts.

Bought to back up a laptop I am replacing. I haven’t uploaded to a new machine yet.

The program is not user friendly at all. You have to guess your way around. I have backed up my laptop every week and have not needed to restore it so, I don’t know how good it works when your HD fails. I bought it because of price, it was the cheapest.

Easy and quick. Beats network storage. I have to fill 11 charactors.

Good for backup and basic data storage. Media streaming is fine, but wouldn't use it as a scratch disc.

It is not very friendly I am still trying to figure it out the easy way to storage files

This external is excellent for holding pictures and media but could be faster as a SSD.

only lasted an few months then again anything from wd is like that junk

I needed a new external HD, as my old 1TB Toshiba Canvio was full. Only purchased the WD Easystore since it was available the same day I bought my new computer. Bad choice. I used this thing once. Transferred hundreds of files (photos, videos, music) from my old computer to the Easystore. The very next time I connected it to my computer, EVERY file was corrupt & unrecoverable. I lost everything on the drive. Did a reformat, tested it, seemed to work..... and then froze. Meanwhile, my 6 old Canvio has never had any issues. I will never be buying anything from WD again.
