I connected the brand new drive to my MacBook Pro, it prompted the "time machine" wizard to connect to and set up the drive. I pressed yes, (to the prompt, 'use this drive for back up", then on the next menu, all I entered was the name of the new drive and enter. Then the comp went to go through the set up process, only to stop shortly after starting the process, and giving me an error message that the drive was all of a sudden unreadable, full, and corrupted. Its totally locked up and unusable. terrible experience w/ this product. Im contacting WD to ask for help to fix it, but will most likely return it and get a better version.

Bought to backup PS4 until I upgraded the PS4 hdd.

The laptop works okay, but it is not user friendly. USB ports are so close that only one is accessible a time. Screen is not very bright. Audio volume is weak. The longer I have this laptop, the less I like it.

the set up was not automatic. WD support was good. After the first scheduled back up as programmed, the programmed backup failed to perform. I now use it as an external drive that I manually copy file into.

Unlike the passport this easystore is not readable on the Blu-ray player. I formatted and did everything and still cannot read it. I will not buy an easystore product anymore

I would Know I paid for this, I left it in the store for the repair person to use when he repaired my laptop. Lawrence Washington picked up the laptop and didn't received my hard drive back.

I needed to replace the exact same model that froze. . However, I decided to give it another try because the price and I've had success with this Herd drive in the past..

This drive took a few seconds before it would read or write to the drive. We found a 64G thumb drive did not show this lag, so it turned out to be our preferred solution to work with our Homework HW-150PVR box.

I guess my iPad wasn’t powerful enough to turn on the external hard drive the light did illuminate but it did not pop up on my iPad Pro so I had to downsize to a flash drive
