I will say I'm not the most tech-savvy person, but this external hard-drive definitely has me confused. I'm having trouble figuring out *how* to transfer things onto the drive. It's definitely not as simple as simply dragging the files onto the hard-drive, and when you right-click the file you would like to transfer, there's no "move to" button for the drive. Not very happy with this purchase, and I've been messing around with it for a little bit to figure it all out, and I'm still stuck.

It’s a lot of trouble to get it to work with MAC. The drive is set up to plug and play with windows. Do a bit more research and get something that works better for you.

It was difficult for me to reformat it to the Mac, for a time machine back up. I’m sure it’s easy for someone with experience, but I could easily save everything to the cloud instead.

This product was recommended by the sales person. Had geek squad set it up, however not to sure if working, will have to go back to geek squad to make sure

It was kind of hard to save my work. I couldn't retrieve the work that I had saved. It cost me a lot of money so it shouldn't be hard to find what I'm looking for.

The machine works, but I couldn't get MS Windows Theatre to run the movie. I had to find and download a program to run it. It doesn't run in full screen, etc. Disappointed about that.

Since I have both IMac and windows I will use this for Windows instead of my Mac for which I intended tit. I will try to find something which was intended for IOS. For Windws use it's fine.

Previous WD external drive was damaged and some data was recovered by the Geek Squad data recovery team. I’ve only had this drive for about a month.

Takes a really long time to put anything on it. Also if you are a Mac user it does not come with any instructions on reformatting so you are on your own.

Good product but you can't specify any folder you want for backing up. You can only choose from a preset list of locations. If that is not the case then it is too hard to figure out.

You have to have a knowledge of how to format this drive in order to use it on Apple computers. I had to hire someone to format it prior to use. Keep that in mind prior to use.

This hard drive was difficult for me to use. Had to download things and re-structure the hard drive. Wanted something simple so I took it back and got something else.

I bought it especially to make a system image of my computer instead of using DVDs . but it does not work that away . asking many questions and got many answers I finally figured out how to do it with downloading one of their programs a wd program . but the problem is you can only put one computer image on that terabyte . and if you leave it plugged in when you turn your computer on it freezes on the boot screen . so to use it as a flash drive and also a system image you must petition the desk , hope that's helpful

This item is horrible I’ve had to delete everything 3x now. And start over downloading everything. I haven’t unplugged it. It just randomly goes out. Horrible storage device

May have a high quality, but it is not read by my computer easily. it takes a long time to be able to get into your stored files.

It works great and as intended by only complaint is that it is rather thin and feels fragile and the USB plug doesn't fit the best and needs to be forced in.

It continus to say there is no room to back up data when there is clearly a great deal of open space on the drive. It does allow me to manually back up Data without problems.

Had product previously but could not longer use when system failed to no longer recognize it. Hoping this model is better. Lost a lot of data with prior product.

This item was referred by a co -photographer, my first time user, it started off good but the later stopped recieving my photos.

I got this on sale and wanted to use it to backup my files. My Lenovo laptop didn't recognize the USB connection so I had to return it. It may have been a bad unit.
