Selected the WD Easystore 1 TB Portable Backup based on claim that it was “plug and play” ready for a MacBook. It is not. Computer will not recognize it. Visit to the WD site for instructions yielded no effective remedy. Google search for fixes also were fruitless. Works fine on a pc but not on a Mac. Waste of $50.

Product would not lost automatically as its supposed to do. Had to get help.

I purchased this external hardrive to transfer from my computer to the hard drive. Best Buy did it for me and I could not get the files on my Mac without formatting and deleting everything off the disk. Then when trying it on the original pc it no longer even shows up on the computer! Terrible product

I admit I was skeptical at first. Some of the reviews said it wouldn't work with the PS4 Slim. So I looked at a few You Tube Videos first since it doesn't come with directions. I was Amazed at how Quick and Simple this was to set up. It was basically Plug and Play. You just need to follow the steps. What also surprised me was that a second after I plugged it in, it began to download my Digital Purchased Games Automatically. The entire process took maybe 10-15 easy minutes. When it tells you do you want to format, click Yes and you're Set Up. The Other Cool thing was it was at a really nice discount at Best Buy. So for about $40 Bucks I turned my PS4 from 500GB to 1.5 TB's.

Great price but very complicated when comes to using

laptop only recognizes 32gb. So now gotta do added bs to configure, to make use of the remaining 968gb that are lost in lala land. If the space is needed short notice. Then look elsewhere.

I was given minimal help at my local best buy, to go home and not be able to use the external hard drive easily with my mac book. I spent many hours trying to read the instructions but could not figure it out. I will be returning this product, and not returning.

Lasted less than a year and then became corrupted. Had a lot of necessary data on it that was lost.

even the geek squad had a problem with it but never they never explained how to work it-you plug it in and no info no nothing so I sent it back and go cr for it and then got the flash drive but I haven't tried that yet

Unfortunately, something went really wrong when trying to format it for my iMac. Sure it would have been fine for non-Apple use. Best Buy was good in allowing me to exchange it for a few standard flash drives instead.

It states on the box that it works for MacBook but for mine it was not compatible. Maybe it was because my MacBook is a 2012. Not sure. Just wouldn’t recommend it for Mac

Only backed up files twice. The third time it didn’t work. Geek squad doesn’t include back up services in their basic plan. So they sold me this thing and now I have to upgrade to get support for something this bad quality.

Biggest regrets ever!!! I got this to save data from a old work computer that needed formatting. It work fine for 2 weeks and then just stopped working all the sudden. LOST ALL MY DATA :( DO NOT BUY!!!!

It does not work , we download it the software, updated, etc but noting. We needed to remove some pictures from laptop now is worst witha program that not even works!! Planning on returning this device or ask Geek team to help out

I bought this product to back my iPhone pictures and videos. Good buy. Fast and easy to use. Affordable.

I'm not Douglas and I didn't buy this. If it had been me, I would have bought one of the USB SATA cradles, but what can I say? I am a cheapskate.

This solid state drive was awesome until it bit the dust. Would suggest buying 2 and backing both up.

So I've had this hard drive hour a week and using it as a backup storage for a ps4 and or crashed out after 2 uses.... not happy with this

I worked with it for hours and even after talking to Seagate, they couldn't get it to be recognized by my computer. It neve did work. I then sent it back.
