Very small but pretty fast. Loaded large video files for client project during trip. This drive did the trick. Just half the size of a mouse!

Bought this product while it was on sale. So far it gets the job done serving as a backup storage unit for pictures/videos/documents etc. It has been roughly over 2 months since I purchased this. The only concern I have is my Dell laptop has had issues reading the connection at times. It comes with a combo c/usb option for connection, but I am not sure if this is the cause of issue. As an individual with prior history with hard drives, I know this is common issue with SSD's if not continuously used. So it might not be this product itself causing the issue.

This pocket-sized SSD is fantastic for quick reads and acceptably quick write speeds. It must not have a DRAM cache or fairly minimal, as sustained write speeds are pretty slow. It could be thermally related, however... Inside, it is *technically* an m.2 based drive, but limited to only SATA-like speeds due to the USB 3.0 interface. I do get the quoted 450MB/s+ when in use moving steam games for testing on machines, and it is fast enough to actually play modern games on. For content creation, it'd be good to have as a spare backup for large files, if you have time to set aside for the write speeds. But the heat... oh, man. Using CrystalDiskInfo, this drive was getting temps above 68 to 72 degrees while copying a 15GB steam game. It was noticeably hot to the touch. Luckily, it was remedied by placing it over my tower's top fans, and temps went down to a much less boiling 54 degrees. Some external SSDs have a metal casing that does, in fact, dissipate heat. But in this instance, it is just thin plastic. All in all, 3/5. Does the job, but spend the extra for a Sandisk or a Samsung if you rely on it to constantly be written to.

I'm using this drive with a Mac Mini desktop and find it works wonderfully for boosting the storage capabilities, and for quite a reasonable price. It's not the fastest USB drive out there, but the speeds are certainly fine if you're not requiring heavy duty drive access with huge files.
