This is my 2nd or 3rd one. I bought this one in order to save my files cause I intended to upgrade my laptop. I bought a new MacAir 2021 replaced my MacAir 2018. Guess what? the plug in jacks are completely different. I have to buy another connection for my flash drive, this portable harddrive, ....I dont know I should blame on Apple or this one. And it needs to be programed before using it, not simply as copy and paste

Nothing special does the job small unit does what you need it to do

I've been using this drive and it works fairly well, but like most of these drives, I'm already starting to have issues with the cable. I'm not sure, but I take it that these drive manufacturers don't spend enough time on the cable and the connection. If your connection or cable becomes unstable, your drive will become a paper weight. They need to focus on making a cable and connection that is strong and robust. I'm guessing if I have to get 1TB of data off this drive, it will be a lot of work especially if the drive starts to fail. I'm still trying to get data off my old drive that still works, but intermittently disconnects and won't let me see some data.
