It does what it was made for ... Good deal, I got it for half off.

The WD easyshare 1TB drive with WD Backup copies my laptop files behind the scenes wherever I go. It is very portable and the USB 3.0 connection transfers files fast and quietly. It even fits into my old My Passport pouch.

I use this daily to protect my important data. Very dependable, very hand, trustworthy.

I needed a hard drive for my MacBook Pro and this works perfectly.

Bought for my son to use with PS4 for extra space for more games.

The WD Easystore Portable Hard Drive is an excellent product. It's extremely easy to install -- It actually installs itself. It is a highly responsive and efficient drive. The small size is perfect for tight spaces and transporting.

Easy and Cheap storage for storing media files and other things.

Works perfectly with Dish Wally to give one all the benefits of being able to pause shows and to record. Accidentally bought a 1T instead of a 2T but either will work great. Really enjoy it.

This is a good external USB3 hard drive but it has one "issue": If you open it, there's no standard SATA connection on the enclosed HD so if the external case goes belly up, you're pretty much hosed. That being said, anything you'd put on here will either -be- a backup OR -will- be backed up to another drive, right? (You don't let any of your important data exist on only one drive, do you??) I mentioned checking for bad blocks first but that's something you should do with -every- new hard drive you purchase! If it exhibits even one bad block, exchange it for another as one bad block will lead to more until the drive fails completely. This is not a complaint about WD drives! ALL hard drives from ALL mfr's should be checked in this manner before relying on them for your important data.

the unit is compact and easy to use. The plug an store feature allows for easy document and picture storage. We used this trusted device to store our wedding photos and family pictures...a great product for a reasonable price.

Works as it should data transfer is pretty fast. Small and sleek.

This external drive is very compact and the USB 3.0 connector makes for fast access. It comes with WD Backup software on it but I am not using that backup since I already have Aconis True Image in use as my backup software of choice.

I had a really old USB 2.0 external drive that was so slow and old. Switching to USB 3.0 was great and anything I need to transfer goes so quickly. Haven't had any problems with the drive over the last 6 months.
