Couldn't pass the "Deal of the Day" up and the price that was offered. Ample hard drive space, easy setup, and known name makes the purchase a no-brainer. Have used it to back up a couple of things but going to plug it into my router to have "cloud" storage that can be accessed via the internet.

Bought this one a couple of months ago and its still running strong! No corruptions and its fast as always. I either go with WD or Seagate for my physical HDDs.

Whenever it is time for a new external HDD I always get these. They are incredibly reliable, durable and compact for easy storage. I don't trust any other brand.

You should always backup your computer and this is the best way I have found. I have one for my other machine as well. Its easy to use and takes little time to do. Although the driver that comes with the product did not work with my computer, I had a backup to complete the task.

Got this to store all of our photos and files. It works great and is easy to use. Just plug it in and it does the rest. It has a quick read and write speed as well

Bought it as a simple backup drive and it does that very well. Have not used any other features that were available.

Can't go wrong with Western Digital Products. This is my second WD External Hard Drive Purchase. These drives last and can be easily transported anywhere. Very light weight, uses USB3.0 which makes file transfers quite fast. Great drive for backup and storing of files and such.

Small Fast Reliable. We love them so much we use this as our client media drive we send off. On top of that its our on locattion drives for our digital techs.

I am using this to store my diary entries. I accidentally erased 17 years of my diary on "a free online diaryl" That made me sad, angry, really angry and this was recommended to avoid that from happening again.

Very slim. Easy to use, plug and play, or store for that matter. Drag and drop items into the drive. I was able to clear a lot of files that I need onto the drive.

Bought this for my girlfriend, she works in IT but uses this to backup all of our home information.

This device has almost no instructions, or any up to date user manual discoverable on the internet. Though I am not tech naive, I couldn't figure out how to get the backup done in a way that made the files recoverable until spending hours on my own plus calls to Best Buy and to Western Digital. Finally I visited Best Buy on my 12 month Geek Squad membership and lucked into an agent who was wonderful and made the device workable. It shouldn't be this hard.
