Decent product for a decent price. Great for beginners!

This external hard drive works well. I personally feel much more confident knowing that I am able to save my information from my computer into this device if my computer crashes without warning.

Very simple to use and good value for the price of this.

Assuming that it will work as predicted but have not yet used it. Will be downloading contents of old computer before purchasing new computer from Best Buy.

Had this drive for a couple months and it is definitely more sturdy than previous HDs that I have. Quick set up. Great space saver. I even bought another one.

Ask about this item when I picked up my computer, WD is a great hard drive and I can take my files with me if needed. 1T is a great size for easy access.

Bought this unit for a song to back up photo and music files. It does a great job and can be carried off site. Great way to expand your storage on site, too.

The WD Elements is a compact yet high-capacity external storage device that won't dig a hole in your wallet. At a street price of just $55 for 1TB, it's easily one of the cheapest portable drive on the market. You can also get the 2TB version for $85, or the 500GB for just $50. The catch is, in my testing, the drive's performance wasn't as fast as its intended rival, the slightly more expensive Seagate Expansion. Not only that, it carries a short 1-year warranty, has no other added value such as security, and includes only a 30-day trial version of the WD SmartWare Pro backup software. However, like the Seagate, the WD Elements' simple design enables it to work well with both computers and games consoles as either storage expansion or a backup drive. That said, if you're looking for an easy way to carry data around, or extend the storage of your Xbox One, the Elements is an excellent buy. On the other hand, those needing features like security, backup software and a longer warranty should check out other options on our list of top portable drives on the market. not to happy that is not compatible with both!!

I picked this up on a good sale just to use as a backup to my backup. It's pretty incredible how small and convenient these external hard drives have gotten over the years. I want to say my first backup was the size of a 68 Buick but now I can just pop one of these puppies in a thimble and store it in my sewing kit. If you need the extra space I say you should def scoop one of these on sale. If you don't need the extra space but just want a cool little hard drive that can wear a thimble like a hat then you should def scoop one up.

Was tired of deleting games to make room. This will allow me to store about 20 more games. 2 gig model wasn't available. This works perfect so far with ps4

Got this for our Xbox at home. Works great for saving games. We currently have over 75 games saved on it, with still more space!

I bought that hard drive because my brother has one and he told me that it's working good and it is a good hard drive, good price and it is fast.

Easy to use. Plenty of storage at a great value. Get one so you don't have to depend on the Cloud, where you could get hacked.

I needed a small portable drive for a back up of my photos. This drive is very small. I deleted any added softeare as it wasn’t needed. The hard drive worked like a charm I now have my photos safely backed up. Best thing was it was on sale for $49.00.

Product was very easy to hook up and set up. Backup was extremely quick and easy. Wish we had bought this before my wife's hard drive had bit the dust.

We use these for moving files between physical locations. The size is perfect and the amount of storage is more than enough for our purposes.
