Works well for recording programs

I did download software to desktop to complete setup and will probably delete the software because it needs to run in admin mode which i dont use for security reasons. The request to put in admin password quickly becomes annoying to me

Compact / Easy Setup

The drive is compact and easy to find space for on my desk. The software for setting up back-ups is easy to set up, although I've had a couple of times where it failed to complete a backup, and it didn't try again until I manually kicked it off. The process requires some monitoring.

Did work with mac eventually

When we plugged into a MacBook Air, it wouldn't format. Ended up plugging it into an older MacBook and then it did reformat. Then it worked fine on MB Air. That was strange. Otherwise works fine.

replacement drive

I don't have high hopes for it if it follows longevity of the first one. Comes loaded with idiotic "social media" backup software. Just don't install that software.
