I only Western Digital storage devices. I have used a couple other competitor brands in the past, but I return to WD. The simplicity of design and function works for me. Cheers.

All is said this product does get the job im just an average laptap user so this 1tb extra storage is more than and very easy to use

this is the second external drive i bought, I like these because they are compact and easy to travel with.

Keep everthing you have safe. All documents, wills, restate, Pictures, in another safe in the house. Everything since you started Saving your whole life. Really I mean it.

I had lost info on older computer so decided to get this to insure I had another backup device for pertinent documents and digital photos

After a very sad loss of photos and data on a computer several years ago, I went to external backup drives for everything I want to save longterm. I use this one for photo's as it is 1 T and it is easier to put a years worth of photos' and mark it with the year than having a 8 T and having to hook it up to find one photo. I keep these stored off site.

We needed a backup for everything we had on our computers (due to a hard drive crash) and this was the smallest (1TB) they had at Best Buy. We got a price break being Total Tech Support members and the Geek Squad backed-up everything for us while they cleaned up our computers. This work alone, along with the price break on the back-up, was worth the cost of the Total Tech Support membership. The 1TB back-up will easily fit everything we need to back-up and leave plenty of room for future use.

Good with some minor hiccups. For some reason I have to occasionally unplug and replug back in to usb port on my pc because the drive doesn't show. It possibly may be because I also have a usb hub that it is attached to but not sure.

Love the item, just wish I could have gotten a better item with more storage

Western digital is way more reliable than Seagate. I have HDs and by far WD has not died on me. This portable hd is what I use on the go.

Used this WD drive to backup files that I wanted to make sure I have retrievable copy. Easy to use and works flawlessly.

This hard drive was easy to use and worked as expected to backup a computer before resetting to factory settings.

This was for work because we needed to move large video files. This was great to download, then just mail to another office. Affordable for the purpose we needed.

Moved to Windows 10 so I needed to back up my computer. Since I don't have a lot of things on my computer I decided to give this a try and asked the salesperson how hard will it be for me to set this up. He showed me everything I needed to do and assured me that I wont have any problems and if I did they will be able to assist me since I have the Geek Squad assistance program. It was very easy to set up and I got it all done in 1 afternoon. That is great for a lame old guy!
