I waited until Christmas to open it and plug it in and when I did, the computer didn’t recognize it so I exchanged it for the same model at a local Best Buy and that one seems to be working just fine.

These are great drives with a lot of capacity and all of my WD drives have a longer lifespan than any other brand.

Loud and cannot successful run the Drive Test

I have been running a test of the drive before using it and the test never finishes after more than a day....I sadly missed the return window after Christmas by ~6 days. I am able to move data to and from, but since I can't finish the test I cannot trust it with valuable or critical files! I'll just use it for random movie/show backup, but wont trust it otherwise! Super disappointed with a drive I cannot recommend
