No quick install guide arrived with my unit. You must be online to find anything from the manufacturer, and all guidance is written for the advanced user of such products. It's hard to even find this unit on the website, After hours of reading, I am still uncertain that I know enough about this product to use it safely and with all intended benefits. There's no way to check what files have actually loaded on the drive. It's better than nothing, I suppose.

It is basically just a large hard drive for Win10. Software will backup files but does not restore them. You will need another program to restore the files on Win10, and these programs are not free. If you need an external hard drive I suggest any other manufacturer as WD support and service is horrible.

Not soo good experience with this drive. Works fine but at the beginning.

Just OK device. Don't think it is all that friendly. Costly for what you get. But did not see any other options in Best Buy.

Works great. It was a little harder to use and setup than I thought that it would be. Not the best instructions on setup

Good price, fast USB 3.0 for data transfer. Working good for most of times but sometimes it hangs and had to reboot computer.

It was a major disappointment when I found out that I could not back up automatically! program could not be downloaded!

Hard to configure. Hard to understand, Won't read if you save files from one OS to another.

It’s 3.6TB not 4TB storage. That’s 400GB missing. That’s a lot of memory paid for but not available.

It was ok as a external hard drive but not versatile enough for other storage needs.

Cannot search the drive when looking for a specific file but you can manually find the file. For me it's useless if the file does not show up in search as it would take forever to click through 4TB worth of data to find it! Considering the price I paid for I am very disappointed and will have to purchase another external drive.

Does what I need it to do. Was a little surprised that it didn’t need its own power supply.

This hard drive was barely used. After an hour or so of being in use it just stops working, no clicking sounds but the LED starts blinking forever and it dissapears from "My PC". Power cycles do not work. All Western Digital drives keep failing on me.

I purchased other western digital products from Bestbuy but this one was a not good. It booted up 2 times so I was able to transfer some files to it after that it did not work at all. It was replaced by the western digital warranty. The replacement was not the same easy store product it was a portable elements.

I saved several games on it and after a few months it stopped working or reading it.

Noth8ng special, don’t understand why there isn’t a hard cover to protect.

I purchased this from my local Best Buy to store the programs for my computerized Christmas light show. I picked it up from the store, brought it home, downloaded my songs, double checked that everything was there, called it good, and put it on a shelf. Today (Thanksgiving) I went to turn everything on and NOPE, nothing! We tried it in four different computers but not a single one recognizes it now. The device buzzes but does no longer functions. I've no clue as to this company's standards but I will avoid this company's products at all costs! I've had the product for 42 days now and I did not purchase the extended warranty (why would I? It's only purpose is to hold information). This was a waste of $90 and 100's of man hours of information lost. Avoid this product and buy something different!!!
