Great buy for the price

I'm probably behind in technology, because my previous external drives just require plug in, but this one I had to re-format it to be able to use it with my Mac. I was going to create a partition to use it on Windows, but I couldn't. So far, it's good for the price I paid and I'm backing up my mac on it.

Portable, Easy to Use

They sync quickly, are small enough for a pocket, use the USB cable to power the device and transfer files. They stack nicely so have a very small footprint on my desk. I've given a few others as gifts because they work with Mac's or PC's. But mostly it's the portability and convenience I like about WD's external USB storage drives.

First Drive DOA. WD finally came through.

When I did, drive made clicking noises, then shut down. WD warehouse in California sent a replacement which was gouged. It looked as if used on a construction site with big nails. I escalated to senior tech and WD finally sent me a replacement drive identical to the NEW one which I sent originally. It took 3 weeks, but the replacement drive works great! Took off one star only for the aggravation I had to deal with. WD support technicians were great! Quality control at repair warehouse could be better.
