I use this drive to store large files such as videos. Compared to my WD My Passport 1TB this Easystore 4TB is thicker thus it’s a much tighter squeeze to get it into the Insignia portable drive case. That being said performance is similar to the My Passport although I think the Easystore may be a little slower on transfer speed. I’m not sure if this is due to internal differences between the two drives or 4TB just has a higher density of disk tracks/sectors to deal with compared to 1TB. Noise wise both drives seem to be fairly quiet. The Easystore comes with a 2 year warranty compared to the 3 year on the My Passport. I hope this doesn’t imply a lower quality standard with the Easystore. The Best Buy bundle including a 32GB USB 3 flash drive with the 4TB Easystore is hard to beat value wise when its on promo sale.

I got this on black Friday while it was on sale and the deal was pretty good. Got it for 80 dollars plus a 32 gig USB Stick. This will come in handy when I need the extra storage for my PS4 or being able to transfer important backups on your computer. I've bought several of these over the years and have had no issues.

It came up on both my Surface and MacBook Pro without a hitch. No other cords required other than just a simple USB cable. It's a full 4TB storage, not like other Easystore drives that sometimes shortchanges the user by a full TB,

Aside from the poor software, as in stripped down barely useable software provided, this works well. If you just want a large little drive to carry around your stuff and use back-up software from some other source, this works great. Just... don't buy this thinking the software is anything but the barebones it is.

This works perfectly for storage of everything my Xbox one uses; games, videos, music, etc. Whatever you want. Fast, simple and very ample storage in a small package! I'm very happy with it.

I have had a couple of these now and they work as promised. I use them for backups and keep one off-site, the other online. They seem more solid than the passport models. I've got a couple of those also. Performance, I can't tell the difference. The easystore is a little heavier.

I was in the market for an external hard drive, looking for quality at a good price. When I received this Black Friday Best Buy offer for a WD 4T @ $80, I ordered it as fast as I could type. The 2T's were selling everywhere for $70, so for an additonal $10 I was able to double the capacity. I am a happy customer.

Currently use this to hold backups of important files offline in case something happens to my computer. Very quick and easy to use.

I have only been actively using my portable hard drive for couple of days but i love how compact it is! Set up was easy.

While the Hard drive is a bit heavier than other drives. I am guessing that it is only because it is for a bigger space. Previously, I used a Seagate portable hard drive and I was uneasy about using a new brand but I am very happy with it. I have two of these now.

This hard drive has worked well with no problems. The drive was purchased after Black Friday online, and was received within a couple of days. I am not using the backup software, as it is not necessary. Files totalling 1 TB were transferred from another portable hard drive easily and relatively quickly.

This drive works well for backing up photos and large files. Easy to use and access. Not too bulky to take with you.

This is an amazingly affordable hard drive with tremendous capacity. You could probably back up content from a few computers in the home on it. I got it in a sale. The low price was unimaginable even a few years ago. Additionally, the device is very compact and quiet. So far it works as advertised.

I have been using this drive for about a month. It is working as all my WD drives since the 1990’s have worked. Dependable so you can sleep at night. I always use multiple backup drives for my digital photos. No WD drives have failed yet. Keep the ruff handling to minimum and they just keep going.

Was looking for extra storage for games on XBOX One and this was easy to setup and does exactly what I wanted.

Very good especially for a ps5 because I use it to store my PS4 games and if I run out of internal space I can transfer ps5 games to it if I don’t want to delete them

Bought this for my wife who is thinking of retiring to put files & pictures from her work PC on this for future reference. Plugged it into laptop and showed up in windows explore with no issues. It was smaller than what she thought it would be but is light weight and will make it easy to carry.
