Good hard drive and size, got a great black friday deal which made it really worth the price.

I needed a hard drive for my Xbox One since I was running out of storage. It was simple to get started; I simply hooked it up to the Xbox and the console took care of the formatting. After a few moments, it was ready to be used. No fuss, no muss.

This was pretty easy to set up and does provide a lot of storage space. The price was great!

I have been using these WD external drives for several years now for both off-computer storage, and periodic archive of nearly 300,000 photos and a bunch of archive documents I wouldn't want to lose if my computer suddenly fails. So far, these drives have not failed me and allowed me to recover from archives after several years hiding on my dusty cabinet shelves behind other things I have squirrelled away. I have had poor experiences with other manufacturers, but so far so good with this product. I should warn buyers that when using it as primary storage, it may take a bit longer to open files than when those files are stored on the main computer. Got to be patient.

Bought this to store my home network videos and pics and documents. plugged it in directly to the router. works great. 3.0 was a must. it was a great deal on black friday for the amount of storage. might buy another for my xbox one extra storage.

I like this WD product easy so compact for 4GB i wish WD makes bigger capcity in same size

It's a big hard drive and I got it on Black Friday so it was under $100 and that was great. I bought it to use for Time Machine backups for my Mac and while it says Mac compatible it was a pain to get it set up and working correctly. The WD NTFS didn't work correctly so I had to wipe it using Disk Utility. It's working fine now.

We take a lot of pictures and these are great for storing as well as back ups of the system. They are fast enough and have never had an issue with any of the 12 that we own. Always look for them on sale at BB and get a great storage device.

I didn't have any problems connecting the HD to my Laptop PC. I am using it to collect video from two cameras that patrol my front and back door. Still working with the logistics of keeping the drive from filling up and losing alarm pictures.

I've been very happy with Western Digital hard drives over the years.. This drive is used to backup files off of a laptop and needed one without an external power supply for ease of use. Price was right and came with a bonus 32gb flash drive.

this 4TB External USB 3.0 portable hard drive with the flash drive does its job just right. I am able to store large amounts of movies, music, pictures, videos, and much more. With 4TB of storage, this hard drive can used for a very long time.

This was a great drive for a great deal with a good amount of space. I used this for my Xbox One and now i never have to worry about space again for the rest of it's life! This should be plently, especially if you already have a 1TB console.

This drive I use it for backing up all of my phones. The price was just right and it have plenty of space. We take a lots of pictures and our phones gets loaded up too fast. This drive help us continue to make more memories!

I'm only reviewing the Portable HDD as I never used the Thumb Drive and donated it. The initial drive I purchased was inoperative; I returned it to Best Buy for replacement with out issue the next day. The Second functioned with out issue (Windows 10) right out of the box. Though not quantitative; I was pleased with the transfer rate as I use the drive to transfer Multi Media (>2.5TB) files between sights.

WD drives are great—I have six of them and none of them have ever failed on me or given me any trouble. This one is exclusively used for schoolwork, so i use it every day, plugging it into different machines for each class.

Small enough to fit in your pocket and super fast downloading information on it. 4TB is way more than enough to save and my files to take with me while I travel. I highly recommend this hard drive with an added thumb drive.

I am pretty happy with this, but I took off a star for it not being able to work on both my PC and my Mac (it requires a set up for the Mac and I was afraid to run it and possibly delete the files I had already backed up). Thankfully it comes with a large flash drive that will allow me to move files between the two. I would've preferred to take the hard drive with me and eliminate the extra step.

Perfect storage option for my photos. Can plug to router as a server storage option. Been using it for a year now. No lags. Write speed is amazing. Got a super deal and comes with a flash drive.

Purchased two of these drives, one of the cables seems to be defective and wouldn't allow the drive to connect to my iMac. The other cable worked fine on both drives and both drives operate normally. Found an old cable I had in a box and it works fine with the drive. Threw the bad cable away and now I can get back to work. Both 32 GB flash drives that came with the WD Easystores seem to work fine.
