It came with built-in software that allows me to schedule daily backups. It works great! This drive is reliable and has a lot of storage at an excellent price.

Just plug in the included USB 3.0 cable, when the console prompts you, select yes to format the drive, and in 20 seconds you're good to go with lots of free space for your game files.

HOWEVER, it works really well as an all around external drive. Not doing high-end video or photo editing but it works superbly for all of our day to day storage and DropBox needs
