The hard-drive is working as expected. To Mac users, you may want to use the app provided along with the HD or reformat it. I reformated to exFAT, so I can use it in all three different systems: Mac, Windows and Linux.

Prior to this I owned a Seagate external backup. It was large, bulky, and constantly overheated, eventually destroying itself and of course, all my backups. This little guy is the size of an ipod that packs a huge punch. Just plug and go and you can save anything. As of this review I just used it today to move all my old files to my new computer. I am so happy that I bought this backup and would definitely buy another should I have to.

Plugged it in, it took a second for the Xbox to format it, and it works fantastic. Really small too!

This item is a good purchase to provide extra space on your computer, it can also be used to back and your computer or to plain ole just save space on most of you different devices and very portable so it can go with you any where

Too early to speak abut dependability, but I can tell you that my initial reaction is that this is very high quality. The drive is fast and has not failed to load or store any data. I would recommend this hard drive.

WD drives are easy to use plug and play and extremely reliable. I own at least 20 of them and other brands have had failures.

Bought this drive after I had a Lacie drive fail in the middle of a project (classic timing for a hard drive failure). I had previously used WD drives in the past but switched to Lacie because it had a USB-C port on the drive itself (and potentially faster speeds). Turns out these drives are far more reliable than Lacie's drives regardless of the port advantages. I'll stick with using an adapter or a third party cord for the peace of mind of knowing the drive is going to work.

This hard drive is big enough for everything I need (4TB) and is super small so it's convenient to take it with me wherever I go.
