I purchased this item awhile ago. I use it on a Apple iMac. It works fine and takes up little space. It works as specified. I would recommend it.

Bought this to put video games on. Easy to plug and the system reads it great. Adding games from console storage to the hard drive is a breeze.

This provides so much extra needed space, I purchased with intent to use for Xbox One X seeing that many are unsatisfied with the 1 Terabyte of the system, pretty great! Highly recommended!

Would gladly recommend them to anyone. I have 2 of these drives, and 5 of WD's earlier drives. one for backups, and 6 for video backup. Well, this product is the backup; that's precisely what a 4TB external hard-drive is for.This new one powered by USB only and the smaller 2.5" size is great. No need for external power source and it is ready out of the box to use, simple plug and play. It works well, and I hope it is as reliable as its older model. I am so far very satisfied with this purchase, it does what it is advertised to do and it does it well, which is to store backups and other data. USB 3.0 adds to its speed. This is a very solid drive for the money.

This is a reliable portable drive to backup my laptop. Easy to use and has multiple utilities to manage and ensure drive is working correctly.

I love it. It was a great deal for 4TB. I use it for PS4 and it took about an hour and fifteen minutes to load 11 games on it but playing those games has NO lag in case you were wondering!

Great hard drive. Tons of space for not that much money. Also is very portable and easy to carry as well as being very easy to set up.

This little hard drive packs quite the punch. Simple to use. I always hate the WD software that comes attached without really serving a purpose, as far as I can tell. But that's pretty standard marketing these days and for the price I'm happy to do a few extra clicks to clean that up. This thing got me OFF the cloud and into a more budget friendly way to keep my data safe, and all in the same place. Between 3 difference cloud services I was paying $20/month for the same amount of storage which means this will pay for itself in 5 months.

The hard drive is easy to setup and compact. You can format it NTFS, exFAT, whatever you prefer. Works with Windows 10 and 7. I got it on sale for $80 which is $20 a terabyte. WOOT.

I use this as external backup. It is super easy to use. The size is convenient and the storage space is ample. All that said, you don't buy these at full price. Right now the 5 TB version is much cheaper than this 4 TB version. The sales are frequent and they just rotate from version to version, so keep that in mind as you consider how much storage you need and what your budget is.

I needed a larger hard drive. I did look at other ones however I believe this is the best one. It was plug and play. No issues and it works great.

It works. It is in a discrete package; fit in the palm of my hand. It isn't heavy. The WD utilities are preloaded onto the drive and ready for installation, which was easy as well.

I’ve used external WD drives for over a decade. Never a single issue. It’s compact with tons of storage while powered via usb.
