I purchased one 6-8 mos ago. And realized it was better than storing my documents on high capacity flash drives! So I bought a second one to fortify my document storage with 2 WDs. Should I lose one. Get it when they are on sale. If you have a MAC and want to used all or most of the WD features contact AppleCare for help in doing so!

I wanted a large cap USB drive to attach to my Netgear router Readyshare port. I tried two other 4TB drives, another WD, and a Seagate, but neither was recognized. This seems to be a common issue with Readyshare. This WD portable works perfectly, and a plus - it is powered by the USB port. I haven't done any performance tests, but I'm using it for backup and photo storage mostly.

This works great and is nice and small and portable. 4TB is a lot for this small package.

Just need a /atger B/up drive 4T will do it. Portable a plus.

I have WD passport 2TB. I purchase this 4TB for more space. Never go wrong with this product. I use it for both PC and Mac. I loved it so much I bought 3 - one for myself, my sister and for my mom.

I first want to say that I am not a tech expert. The drive itself is fine and I'm impressed at its speed vs my old backup drive. All the reviews that I read lead me to believe that most of these backup drives were of equal quality more or less. The reviews suggested that size/price should be the biggest consideration. That is more or less why I chose this device. My big complaint is that there is no documentation or software included in the box for drive backups. I used to have a seagate drive and it came with a software utility to set up drive backups. It wasn't great but I learned it and felt comfortable using it. Trying to find a good 3rd party app to do backups is confusing to me. I don't have time to do all the research and try many different ones. I wish this drive just came with a worthy software suite to set up backups to save me time and hassle. I have only used it for one month for computer backups. So, I can't comment on its durability.

Got this on sale for $99.99 and must say great little HD for the price and works great with my Xbox on X!

I purchased this on BF and so far the product has performed really well. WD is known for high-quality storage devices and this is right on top of it. For $80, 4TB is an excellent value for money

Cant really beat the amount of space for the price. Small enough to fit in a pocket if need be. so far no complaints
