Quality is good. HD works very well especially with the usb 3.0. Very fast transfers.

Does exactly what I need to do. I quickly connect this to my PC, backup whatever I want to, and then disconnect it. It's not connected all the time, and I have no complaints

I was pleased to find a large amount of storage (4TB) at a decent price - on sale for $99

My 2 TB external drive was full from saving photos and backing up my laptop. I wanted to both back up my backup (in case the other external drive failed for some reason) and be able to continue storing photos (I do photography), so decided to buy an external drive that could do both. This fit the bill and was at a good sale price when I purchased it. Now my photos are doubly safe without excessive cost!

Ripped my CD collection to a WD usb 3.0 4TB drive. I bought this USB powered 4 TB drive to copy it as a backup. Too much time put into ripping those CD's for me to be willing to risk losing all that work. Later I will buy another one of these USB powered 4 TB drives to mirror the other. I've always had good luck with WD. I never use the included software. I reformat the drive (quick) and start using.

Great external drive. I only gave it four out of five stars do too I was hoping that was going to be a serial hard drive instead of a traditional. I would still recommend buying it because it’s a good fast and solid external drive.

This data storage device came in a box. Period. No instructions included. I'm not very computer literate, but I finally managed to find the instructions on line. Not the best way to convey information in my opinion. But once I got it working, no problem. It uploads from my Hewlett Packard computer in a jiffy.

Perfect for use as Xbox one extra storage. My Son said he just plugged it in and Xbox asked him if wanted to save games on it.

Have only owned it for a week, pretty hard to give a review . Loaded some video files and it worked. If it goes 5 years, woopee. Got a WD on the recommendation of a friend.
