This drive needs a USB 3 port to work at a decent speed. Even with the faster port the first backup takes nearly a day for about 600GB. The Western Digital software has some places where it could be improved, particularly with the startup when re-booting the computer. On my older computer I had to install an adapter and a USB 3 card for the speed. They appear to be working well.

This is a replacement for my 1TB drive. It is just maxed out. Having 4TB is helpful and it is just as small as my current 1TB that I was using. Same WD manufacturer. Fits in my carry-on and went through many TSA scans. Had this for at least 3 months and 1TB I had for at least 5 years.

I was able to transfer my files from my old computer without any difficulty. I haven't tried to use them on my new computer but I'm sure they will be fine.

Great tiny usb Drive. Works great for my xbonex. Fast to set up.

I got the WD easystore 4TB drive for 80 bucks during the thanks giving sale. I am totally satisfied with the HDD. I can dump all my videos onto this beast.

I can only speak to what I bought and use it for which is to manually (I do not use automatic backup plan by choice) drag and backup many large files at a time and in this respect it does so with ease and reliability. In the past on my other storage devices even the slightest little hiccup has cost hours of my time and so avoiding this without any additional effort on my end has been great.

Does what we wanted it for. Only thing we don't like is the controller. They didn't think it thru. You can figure it out. But they need to redo that part.

I purchased this as my time machine back up. It met my requirements, no external power source, usb plug and the storage was more than large enough for multiple Apple back ups. My HDD storage is 1TB and I have more than 10 time machine back ups on the hard drive. It has yet to run out of space to replace older back ups and I've had this for more than two years.

I connected this HD to my PS4, is perfect, very quite and fast. I even don't note any difference with the internal PS4 hard drive. Now i can download a loooot of games and data without worries to check the space all the time.

Has lots of room for files. I do not think we will ever fill it up. Easy to use.

Live the ease of the portable drive. It's large enough for all my needs.

It works so well, give a lot of storage space. Very reasonable price.

No clunky external power requirements, plug 'er in, go through the quick format control dialog, you now have +4TB storage. Couldn't be simpler. Once formatted to your XBOX, though, it stays there: if you want something hot-swappable with your laptop, I understand it *can* be done, but took the recommendations against it to heart and haven't tried.
