My purpose for acquiring this 4TB hard drive was to dump data from several 500GB hard drives onto one. I must say, my setup is now much cleaner, and all of my data is handy and readily achievable. To note, this brand of drive (WD easy store) often goes on sale, which was the case for me when I purchased it.

Used this for a clients iMac for their time machine backups. Perfect drive no problems at setup and running perfect with plenty of space.

I own 2 HDD from WD now. This one is better then the first one I bought. Its more sleek and in spite of increasing the internal capacity to 4gb, WD was able to make it smaller in size. The last WD 1TB I bought is still working good and is not giving me any trouble. WD products are really long lasting and durable.

The WD Easystore 4TB Hard drive is an inexpensive solution for storing Video or other media. I am not disappointed.

I've used several of these drives from WD over the years. They keep changing the name (now called "easystore"), but the quality is always there. I use them mainly as offline storage (in conjunction with backup CDs and a copies on a server), and I've had no problems plugging them in and retrieving the data when I need it.

I own about 7 of these things and they’re all pretty solid. Only hiccups I’ve had on a few of them is a corrupt issue. And yes I know how to safely remove from computer before ejecting. But I’ve had two of the drives be corrupt

I purchased this item to transfer my iPhoto collection over to a new laptop. Unfortunately my older external drive was full. Converting the drive into a compatible device for Apple was easier than expected. The price for the storage space was a steal. I would purchase again .

Girlfriend was needing to free up space on her computer so that it could run properly.

I needed a USB backup drive. I plugged it in and it works. The only thing to be careful of when mixing drives from different manufacturers is that they don't always use the same drive letter. Once that is resolved, it is set it and forget it. Although any backup routine needs regular monitoring

I was able to get this external hard drive on sale at a great price. It works with both Windows and Apple devices.

Bought this a s a gift for my grandson for extra storage for his PS4. He loves it because he takes his PS4 everywhere he goes and this makes it easier to take his saved games. He has the 500gb storage on his PS4. Not a lot of storage if you play a lot of games. Great for him.

I’ve had much better luck with WD then any other manufacturer. I gave up on Seagate after multiple drive failures after only a short period of time. In contrast, I had 5 WD drives running 24 hrs a day for 15 years and only one recently started having issues. WD is the only brand I trust.

I have a 2 TB HDD system. With all the 20mp and larger images and video a 2 TB external USB portable HDD was insufficient. The Western Digital Easystore 4TB Portable Hard Drive gave me sufficient room to create a system image backup plus regular backups with Windows backup and File history. I still have room for approximately 2 TB of free space. The reason the review has 4 rather than 5 stars is because Western Digital lowered the number of years for the drive warranty.

4 TERABYTES IS EXCELLENT FOR STORING MY PHOTOS. I FLY A DRONE, SO THIS TOOL WORKS PERFECTLY. EASY TO USE, WORKS SEAMLESSLY.
