Can't Eject...Leading To Error Messages

This makes my third WD device. From "day one" I have had problems unmounting the drive from my computer. Normally with any drive, you can right-click then select "safely remove" or "eject". But with this drive, you do not have that option, and so you're left with hoping everything is closed and just unplugging it. The problem is that 50-60% of the time when you go to plug it back in, you get a prompt that there's an error on the drive and a recommendation to scan/repair the drive (which I usually do). This generally does the trick and balance is restored to the universe, but it's an irritating second step that I must undergo to use the drive. I now no longer use it as a backup drive but rather to transport files between my work and home PC that I don't want parked in the cloud. Perhaps I just received a defective unit, but this is something I'll definitely look out for (and avoid) when purchasing another drive.

I had 1TB at first but I ended up using most of it so I upgraded to this one. It has so much space that its going to be a long time before I will have to delete anything.On the plus side it does fit great with the Xbox One with its design.

Safe storage for valuable memories & documents

I needed safe storage for countless digital photos and important documents, Have lost items when the old desktop computer quit working suddenly. This was on sale, had good ratings and has a great amount of storage. Perfect.
