This is a big sized hard drive for backups. The software that comes installed on the drive for setup is easy to install, setup & backup your files. I have even installed in on a Server2008 system and the software was compatible with it.

It fits my needs real well. It is a 4 terabyte external hard drive to store my library of videos and music. I can store the originals in an out of the way location plus easier to find by scanning the hard drive for what I want to watch in one area

Great and very easy setup ... just plug and play ... needed it for my PS4

I needed more space though, and already had several other external hard drives hooked up. I had already had to resort to a separate USB hub for two of them, but that just made handling cabling even worse. My hope was that with this new external, I'd not only have plenty more space, but could potentially get rid of the hub and neaten the cabling situation. Although the description listed the ports as USB 3, I was slightly alarmed upon opening the package, and seeing black USB ports (which much more often signify USB 2, as opposed to the blue color that more typically comes with USB 3 ports/connectors). I fired up USBViewer and was relieved to find that they were reporting as USB 3 ports, and I also transferred some data to confirm that things were being transferred at USB 3 speeds. Fortunately, everything was fine.

Using this as an external Time Machine backup for my computer. The size allows me to backup my entire computer on this drive - leaving plenty of room for any future backup needs. No problems with its use.

I bought this to attach to my Playstation 4 Pro because I filled up the internal 1TB harddrive. This was simple to setup and now all my downloaded games install directly it and run as well as if they were on the internal storage.

This thing is awesome. Would definitely would recommend this to a friend.

I was in the process of up grading my CPU and I knew I had to save all of my documents, so I purchased the western digital easy-store hard drive. I was able to easily store everything! I'm a very satisfied customer, to say the least.

This is a great hard drive with excellent speed and even better capacity.

The HDD works great! Doesn’t have any issues with storing anything, doesn’t bog down or have any issues as I’ve had with Seagate or any other HDD. The read and write times are very quick! I’d definitely recommend this product!

After purchasing this product I didn't use it right away, but now I use it to backup my laptop and cellphone. I haven't had any problems and really like using it.

This external portable drive was the best bang for the buck at the time.

Used WD most of my life. Rarely ever had any failures or problems with their drives. These portable drives continue the trend of the quality and reliability. I keep several of these around for use in media server applications, transferring large files or multiple TB's of data between devices. I've experienced not issues, speed is perfect and consistent, always get a steady 100MBPS xfer rate. I can't find many negative issues or suggestions to make on these. I HIGHLY recommend. Keep them safe however, don't be rough, don't drop them etc. Only suggestion would be a MUCH longer USB cable. Its too short sometimes especially if the cable is stiff or twisted a certain way making it difficult to keep the drive stationary. Still, well worth 5 stars, recommend over any other brand, especially seagate.
