Price could even be cheaper due to all the solid state devices out on the market. I do like the Western Digital drive and have purchased a few over the years.

I bought this neat little drive to back up media files. I use a MacBook Pro, and I wasn't able to format this drive for my computer. I tried Disk Utility. I tried Terminal. I watched numerous YouTube tutorials. Nothing worked. I was just about to return to Best Buy to ask for a Geek's assistance. Then I decided to do what I should've done in the first place...visit the WD Support Site. They give clear, simple directions for formatting the drive for the Mac: https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?h=p1&ID=3865&lang=en&p=238#highsierra So now it seems to be humming along nicely. The little white LED keeps flashing even when there's no activity on the drive. I wish it would light up only when data is being written to or read from the drive. That's a minor quibble. All in all, for the price, this seems to be a Best Buy best buy for sure.

WD - easystore® 4TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is great. There is no installation. It is as fast as my other USB 3.0 external drives. It's hefty - a good amount thicker than a 2gb drive. No complaints - it works like a charm.

I have a Macbook, and had to format the storage device in order to use it, but it wasn't too difficult to look up how to accomplish this. It has been working fine to this point. Was a great price (on sale) for 4TB.

Bought this to use as a Time Machine Backup Drive for my MAC. Was a little bit awkward to figure out how to reformat it for use with the MAC, but once that was done it worked just like any of my other Time Machine Drives.
