For the price I got this at, it was well worth it just for storing lots of my random files. It's a bit bulky, but has held up well to this point, and speeds seem pretty solid on transfers as well.

So far it’s been a great product and I have been able to load all of my kids sports photos and videos. I was even able to load “all” of my pics on my phone! Very pleased that “Everything” is now backed up!

The sale prize made it an easy purchase, but it's still a great hard drive and a perfect size for such a large capacity drive. Works well on my PC and Mac making it super simple to transfer large files across platforms.

It's nice to have 7 or 800 movies in your shirt pocket. How about backing up every pc you have? Usually, if these things are gonna fail, they do it right away. I've tossed about 3.5 TB of back-up data on this. So far , so good.

I love the portable storage unit for my computer. I don't have to store anything to my computer now so that the computer gets bogged down with all the videos, music and photos that I have kept throughout the years.

Works great so far. No complaints. If not needed, the inbuilt backup software can be deleted by reformatting the device.

I am using this portable driver to record my security cameras and it works well. It is a fantastic size to have around 3 months of recordings stored. Best Buy had the best price around for the drive with quick delivery!

One of the best hard drives I have owned, fast, and secured.

Plugged into MacBook Pro USB C with adapter, found instantly, formatted for MacBook easily, very quick and responsive. Can't rate reliability after only a couple of weeks, but Western Digital has always been very good to me.

It is overall good but not for the price. Bit slower in performance. Also bit bigger and heavier than expected.

I wanted to back up my files and I knew that USB is the thing now. No more floppy discs or CDs. I bought the 4TB, because it was close to 2TB price and I want to have it for a long time. It works very fast.

This was a much needed purchase to hold the tons of photos my students take for their school newspaper. They have already backed up 4 years of photos and haven't even scratched the surface of this drive. great purchase!
