Four gigs is more than the average person would ever use. However if you in the PC business or into music or movies you will really appreciate the level of storage this drive provides. It was really worth the money.

I have this external set up for my PS4 to have an endless game library. So far so good. When the PS4 did format it though my available storage did shoot from 4.0tb to 3.6. Something that may be important to you.

I bought it to have extra space for my PS4 PRO and laptop, and it runs like a champ. I formatted it for the PS4 PRO out of the box then synced and registered it on my laptop, worth every penny.

Caught a sale on this hard drive and for the money, it's excellent. In my experience, I found it better to ignore the software that comes with it, though. I'm using on a Mac and the drive works great!

Compact design with decent read and write speed for a USB 3.0 HDD. Very portable due to its compact size. I have three other WD HDDs, all have performed well and not one has failed or acted up yet...knock on wood.

Compact, quiet, fast and perfect for use with PS4 or XBox One... drive just needs to be formatted which your system will help you with. Runs off USB power, doesn't even need a power cable/block.

I have had this external storage unit for almost a year and a half, during which time it has been of great use to me. It is very easy to do the Setup and to use it.

This is a great hard drive got it to connect to my IMac. I do some video editing so need lots of storage. Had to format it so I could use it. I formatted it to work for Mac and PC. Dose not come that way that is the 4 stars and not 5. This should be a normal thing now not some thing you have to do. Other than that great product.

I am using this as an external hard drive for my X Box. It was extremely easy to set up and transfer data from a smaller 2 TB hard drive that I had previously been using. Would definitely recommend !
