Not the fastest drive out there, but a solid, dependable portable storage option. No issues and reasonable performance make this a great choice for the money.

I've been using Western Digital to back up my 'stuff' for over ten years. Have to, to save loss of data when you computer dies. It has saved my a lot of time and trouble and especially loss of data.

Perfect addition to my mac - gets things off the hard drive, and is more than enough space to do system backups and store Logic sessions once complete.

in an almost SSD world, capacity and use of these drives will keep it alive, i plugged this into my NAS as a secondary external on the go backup, and gives me piece of mind as second backup

I purchased this device to back up a clients data from two external drive cases that kicked the bucket I must say i was impressed with the speed and storage capacity.

I was looking for a hard drive to transfer photos and videos onto as a backup. I put one at work in case anything ever happens to my house, I will still have all my kids baby pictures/videos.

I have more than a few 2TB & 4TB external hard drives, Western Digital & Seagate. I have had only one Seagate drive fail, after much daily usage, but never a Western Digital. This Western DIgital 4TB, I expect to last a while as a primary backup. Four stars, not five, because it is slower than a Seagate & it certainly isn't as pretty.

This portable hard drive is great in both size and storage size. No external power adapter needed. And having USB 3.0 is fast. Great service from Best Buy, ordered online and picked up in store.

I am always amazed how the capacity of the drives continue to increase and the cost remain reasonable. This drive is quiet and runs cool. I have found the Western Digital drives are reliable.

Worked perfectly with my Mac. Had to rewrite it like ussual, but now happily stays plugged in for extra storage.

This 4 GB portable drive will be my second backup drive for photographs. It has reasonable, but not spectacular transfer times.

It works great I Never faced any errors yet. The only down side its abit loud at times! But overall a good device which I recommend especially when on sale.

my friend wanted to store larger data. He had already 2TB WD portable hard drive. I went this product just for reasonable price and large storage capacity. yet to get review comment from him.

Took this out of the box and hooked it up to my ps4, and no issues, quick install and now I have plenty of extra storage on my machine. Small package allows for easy storage next to the ps4.
