Can fit it into a pocket, works on a Mac or PC & has more than enough space for video editing or any other projects.

This 4TB external hard drive is awesome to store all my photos and videos. It transfers the data quite fast. It is not at all bulky which is why I like it even more.

The drive works great, but the backup software is so so. Might pay for you to find a good program to do your backups.

I got this on sale to use for backing up my different videos. My wife is a videographer and this holds a large amount and transfer files very fast. We have been very happy.

Though this said "for Mac" on the box, it was not plug-and-play ready. I've formatted external hard drives before and this one required me to actually call WD. They told me that their online instructions were missing a step. Wow! That's totally unacceptable. I bought this one because I should have been able to plug it into my computer and - BOOM - do a back up immediately. It took over an hour of, reading instrucitons, going online for ultimately useless instructions, and then time on the phone - and you know what that's like - computer queues and waiting and pushing buttons to get to an actual human. It was a real pain to get this thing up and running. This is my third WD hard drive and none was this frustrating. I'm sure that now it's working, it will give me years of back-up security. However, next time I'm going with a different company.

This Western Digital portable hard drive has worked flawlessly from the get go. I have purchased many WD drives over the past few years and have never had a problem with any of them.

Over the years I have used many WD external drives to save and backup my files in my photography and publishing pursuits and have always found these devices to be durable and reliable.

I gave it 5 stars because like the first one external hard drive by WD it was very easy to set up and use.

Good storage -nice form factor - still overpriced.

We have had a WD external harddrive for several years and it worked fine but was only 500 GB storage. This one has 4 TB so we can have a lot more storage for music and videos

Purchased this as an external back up to my system. It was easy to set up and have had no issues with it.

Very happy with the purchase - it's been about six weeks so far and no issues. Connected it and it worked perfectly. Excellent price and excellent performance.

I want to get rid of all my DVD's and movie tapes so I am loading them all on to this hard drive. Then anything my family wants they can have and I will donate the rest. SAVE ON SPACE!!

Bought this to store videos and songs for my brother and sister in law. Worked great was able to store a bunch of stuff for them for when they went back home.

I'm abled to backup all my data securely and have the opportunity to restore files to a new computer. Such a small device to handle such big jobs. Vey happy with purchase!
