I used the backup software that came with the product, it is good but for scheduled backups. local or networked drives like BOX, AMAZON DRIVE.

Cheap storage options

It makes glitching noise sometimes and stalls for couple of seconds. Not sure that it is drive or my mac. Otherwise no issues so far.

Great price for alot of storage

Not sure if there is an incompatible program on it. But it will repeatedly appear and disappear and not be accessible. When I went to the WD website to see if others were having problems, it was not listed as a product of theirs--making me think this is a BestBuy branded product. Still trying to troubleshoot this--will use it with my laptop and see if it has the same issues at some point. Would recommend it with reservation until I can sort this issue out.

So the interface and agreements and things were a little bit different than I was expecting. Overall was easy to use once I got everything set up. Was a great price for four and being portable
