It has a good amount of storage. Was going to use it to store movies on my Plex server, but this drive doesn't come with its own power source. Hooking it into my modem slows down speed considerably because it sucks so much power.

great drive that is portable. never really had any issues with WD drives. Also got a desktop version. great for backups.

Really something 4 TB in a usb 3.0 package. I can expand my computer without have to open case. Decent performance too.

I bought two of these to backup multiple computers (4 laptops and one desktop). I am scanning monthly statements and saving them electronically. This will greatly cut down on paper and having to file them in a file cabinet. I bought two and keep these in two different safe deposit boxes at two different banks several miles apart. I will go once a month retrieve the drives, backup my files and return them to the banks.

These drives, I have two, are solid and are great. They fit well in the palm of your hand while plugging in the USB3 cable and spin up quickly. Access time is good and it's easy to use as a portable drive. Do yourself a favor, get a case to keep your drive protected while it's being "portable", especially where the cable plugs in"as you would expect"! A good portable drive, this one, and a case will do you well, speaking from experience!
