    This drive was purchased solely with the intent on using it as a backup drive for my photo library. Though the speed is not nearly as fast as a solid-state drive, it is indeed relatively fast. For the value, I don't think anyone could expect a better drive. Reliability is a little bit worrisome as the drive does disconnect itself occasionally.. But, overall, I would highly recommend this drive, especially if you are low on space on your main hard drive.
