Buyer Beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For years, I have used Seagate drives with no issue. 3 months ago, I thought I would save some money and bought the WD drive on sale. Well, 3 months after purchase, this drive is making terrible grinding and clicking sounds. The only way to stop it was to physically unplug it from the USB. Nothing else responded. I called for customer support. The human on the line was nice, but the policies for handling this situation by the company are not acceptable to me. Thank goodness I had a second backup of my important contents, but I'm losing my system image backup and file history. I'm going back to Seagate and trashing the wasted money and WD drive. I learned a hard lesson.

Quickly backed up my desktop
